Description

Japan - Gentlemen Take Polaroids - Limited Edition SIGNED sleeve 7" vinyl single - 1980 release - Six Autographs on the sleeve.

Please see below for version notes and release information.

An extremely limited edition of this release.

CONDITION:

Visually the Disc is overall in a very good condition with some minor signs of age, but very minimal and limited to some small areas of very light surface discoloration, noticeable when tilted towards a bright light.

The playback on side 1 is good, side 2 is a little rougher sounding with some reverberation on louder passages. Otherwise both sides play through without interruption.

The sleeve is in very good to excellent condition, with the hand penned signatures on the front cover clean and clear.

There is a small amount of ring wear on the back cover, see photos.

There are 6 autographs on the front, see notes below for information about this ltd edition signed release.

PLEASE SEE ALL THE ATTACHED PHOTOS.

NOTES:

This entry is for the single VS 379, supplied in a single-sleeve, not the double-pack version Gentlemen Take Polaroids.

There are several inconsistencies around this release. Many copies of the record have labels where the A or B side label may have Record One included in the text; (a reference to the double-pack single).

The magazine Smash Hits gave away about 100 fully autographed copies of this standard single in a competition. This autographed single uses the same catalogue number as the UK double-pack. Further signed copies were sold at Virgin Record shops, making it easier to find than the unsigned version.

There are also Australian & German releases, supplied in single-sleeves; however, those are not limited autographed editions.
