Here is a detailed explanation of my record grading system:
First off, I grade conservatively.
NM (Near Mint):
My highest grade. Like new, most likely unplayed.
VG++:
A record that has a few visual imperfections that will not affect the sound. Likely played only a handful of times or never at all.
VG+:
A few more surface marks than a VG++. The record has probably been played before but well taken care of and should play with very few audible imperfections.
VG:
The record will display light surface scuffs and marks. Expect some light surface noise in parts or a few clicks or pops here and there. A VG record will play with very minimal noise and will still be quite enjoyable.

Cover grades:
Although no description is given for cover grades, bidder should be aware that a cover that is graded NM will be like new and with no apparent wear or defects and a cover that is graded Poor will be a wreck that is still desirable based on scarcity, historical importance or other market demand.
All grades between these two extremes will be logically applied to the cover grade and major defects will be noted in the item description as necessary.
