Description
A great Simon & Garfunkel sealed album entitled, "Sounds of Silence". The original album is now 53 years old and this is most likely a late 60's or at least an early 70's release on Columbia Records KCS-9269 (based on the catalog number) in NM- condition overall.
This is a beautiful, original, sealed copy of the album, "Sounds of Silence". Four very nice corners and this is a very collectable album. These sealed S&G LPs are getting harder to find in this condition.
The spine is pretty sound, but has a small little split about halfway down about 1/2" and there is also the tiniest indentation right in the middle. Seams and mouth are quite nice. There are two horizontal breathe holes going across the top portion of the front cover. No store stickers, residue, saw marks, cuts or shrink splitting - and there is a factory installed sticker underneath the upper left corner, identifying catalog number KCS-9269 (most likely just as the record plants were getting ready to phase out the CS-9269 jackets and start using the new number). Late 60's seems to be my best guess when they were changing over. In my opinion these examples are probably very hard to come by, as the record companies didn't use "change over" stickers very long. Makes it quite desirable.
