SIDNEY BECHET "Jazz Festival Concert 1952, Vol. 2" Blue Note 7025, Frame, P, 10" Mono Vinyl

This is the 1953, first edition, Frame Cover, 10", "P"-pressing of SIDNEY BECHET's "Jazz Festival Concert 1952, Vol. 2" on "767 Lexington Ave" labels of Blue Note BLP 7025. Musicians include Roland Bianchini, Claude Luter, Francois "Moustache" Galepides, Christian Azzi, Raymond Fol, Sidney Bechet, Bernard Zacharias, Claude Rabanit, Guy Longnon.

VINYL plays with consistent low to medium level surface noise (i.e, static, ?? or ????,relative to the volume of the music/instruments) with occasional ticks and pops. However, Ensemble Instrumental sections are dynamic and strong with clean transients, powerful extension and full tone. Surface noise, crackle more noticeable in ballads. No Skips. No Distortion. A few hairline marks, handful feelable to fingertip. The "767 Lexington Ave" labels show age, but are clean. See photos.


The COVER is in very nice condition, see photos. Corners worn. Back jacket shows aging, wear, discoloration, but is otherwise clean! Please see photos.

   

This LP was play-tested on a high-end system consisting of Music Hall MMF-7.3 turntable/Ortofon Bronze cartridge, Heed Audio Elixir integrated amplifier, Heed Quasar Phono stage and Quad S2 speakers (with very revealing ribbon tweeters). RECORD CLEANED ON VPI 16.5 CLEANER.
