Description
Up for grabs is a SUPER RARE PROMO COPY of Shawn Colvin Fat City. This is the first and only pressing from 1992 on Sony records. I have never seen one of these sold on Ebay or anywhere else in many many years of looking. I know this album very well as I have been collecting vinyl for a long time and I own a few copies of this first press. There is a bit of sibilance in a few places on all copies, just the nature of this one and only pressing.
This one is in great shape. After play testing, I would rate SIDE A as VG, not quite VG+. SIDE B is a solid VG+ to EX. There are light surface marks if held in bright light, most likely from removing from sleeve over time. There is noticeable surface noise and clicks in places, but does not affect the quality of sound dynamics. The cover has noticeable wear and a seam split at the top, corner dings and edge wear. Will be cleaned on a VPI HW 16.5 and shipped in a modi inner sleeve. The original plain white inner, which came with all copies of this album, is also included. No returns, payment at auctions end.
