Description

SD 8216 - Led Zeppelin - Zeppelin I - 200g Quiex SVP Classic Records Reissue - Still Sealed with Sticker

The debut album from what would become one of the biggest rock bands ever.  Signed by Ahmet Ertegan to Atlantic Records based on their blues roots and Jimmy Page's guitar reputation from his Yardbird days. This first release from 1969 became an instant classic blend of English power riffs and rock plus the Chicago blues they were weaned on. Besides  Page's virtuoso guitar style this album introduced the rest of the world to the dinstinctive banshee wail of vocalist Robert Plant, the late John Bonham's thunderous drumming and the sensitive bass and keyboards of John Paul Jones.  It was the launching of a phenomenon.  Classic Records, in collaboration with lead guitarist Jimmy Page, who approved the releases, mastered and cut this title at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood on Classic's "All Tube" cutting system from the original 1/4" analog master tapes provided by Page. Pressed on Classic's 200 gram Super Vinyl "Flat" Profile adds another dimension to playback fidelity revealing small nuances that seem to jump out of the groove.

Widely considered as the definitive vinyl version of this amazing Led Zeppelin album and absolutely not to be missed.  I'd buy two and save one before they go out of print forever and climb in price.  Available in very limited quantity.
