SOUND SAMPLE AUTO STARTED WHEN YOU OPENED THE PAGE, TURN UP THE VOLUME... and have a READ .   

NM (minus)   Australian LP's / VG+++ BOX plus optional original Libretto VG+

Partial replay, THIS is very clean,NO  paper scuffs visible in Sunlight. Photo's  taken in full outside light and flash, and nothing is visible to me or the camera. Only a few of the softest pips generally on these lp's .

All pressed in the early 1960's and weighed at 150 + gms per LP

HOWEVER THE DOWNSIDE FOR MOST OF YOU THAT WILL MAKE THIS AFFORDABLE IF YOU GENUINELY WANT A COPY OF THIS PERFORMANCE ON A T/S LABEL COLUMBIA IS THAT THE UK STAMPERS FOR THIS WENT TO AUSTRALIA TO MAKE THE PRESSING. (Stock number on label SAXO 2369-72,

(O added to denote pressed in Australia),  AND YOU KNOW THE VINYL QUALITY IS PRETTY GOOD IF I DO SAY SO MYSELF (AS AN AUSSIE, UNBIASED AS I MAY BE.......) I have sold some OZ pressed Columbias to discerning buyers around the world, some for over 150GBP, for really rare ones, and comments returned to me were they were VERY nice pressings, and comparable to the UK ones, especially considering the perceived value difference.  This is  ONLY  the 3rd SAX OR SAXO 2369-72 I have seen in Australia.

ALSO NOTE THESE PRESSINGS ARE PRESSED SO THEY COULD BE PLAYED ON ONE OF THOSE RECORD AUTO STACKERS, (BUT FORTUNATELY, THIS SET NEVER WAS), LET ALONE PLAYED MUCH AT ALL BY THE LOOK OF THEM.

THE UK PRESSINGS I BELIEVE WERE CONSECUTIVE (IE sax 2369 WAS SIDE 1 AND 2 NOT 1 AND 8  ETC)

COVER CONDITION   VG+++ same artwork as the UK box, stock number on spline says SAXO  and it is quite neat.  Only minor blemishes are-

1. some of the glued downpaper cover of the box is starting to lift at edges, but no rubs or cornersplits

2. small nick in the black front to the left of cover picture (see photo's)

LP CONDITION Near Mint  SEE Photo's, Can't even find many  faint spider web scuffs even in sunlight, play test has only infrequent pips and tics as per normal vinyl replay BEAUTIFUL, AND THE DYNAMICS ARE GREAT

SOUND SAMPLE GUIDE First 2 minutes 24 seconds is of opening side 1, then I trfr to the side 8 at 2 minutes 45 seconds, WHICH IS THE REMAINDER OF THE 5 MINUTE 48 seconds SAMPLE IN TOTAL.

booklet (Libretto) which was an optional purchase item priced at 5 shillings and sixpence, is in Excellent condition , only some cover thumb bends and slight yellowing .  NO tears or other damage.

NOTE libretto quotes side numbers in line with the consecutive pressing they did in the UK, where as record one here has sides 1 and 8 (sequential pressing)

BE aware the sound sample talked about IS A LOW SAMPLE RATE AND accentuates treble (Hence more static crackle that you DON'T hear through your Hi Fi) and is low quality, but you get the idea.

I thought someone  might like a less expensively priced 60's analogue production from the same stampers as the expensive UK copy in this type of condition.

 If you already have an original MINT UK Columbia pressing, Buy THIS  lp and You can play it instead of  wearing out or risking damage to your original  investment !
