Description
This is a fine numbered copy (#00040/01200) of the first pressing of LA band Savage Republic's first LP from 1982. Like all the early releases on Independent Project, this package is an elaborate one. The letterpress jacket is in pristine condition (M). The disc is clean with a little light scuffing, and plays with minimal surface noise (M-). The disc has a slight warp that does not affect play. The record comes with a letterpress insert (M-), which has the band's prior name, “Africa Corps,” blotted out three times, and a fourth instance is covered by large sticker. The otherwise generic plastic-lined white inner sleeve is stamped with the band's logo on one side and the copy number (00040, not pictured above) on the other. This copy is missing a couple of items from the original package: the postcard and the band picture.
I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) all discs except where otherwise noted.
