I'm now selling nearly every single release from the small TOAST LABEL so see and hear my other auctions. It's taken me years to collect these all !! Brief history of the Toast Label IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY, it was started by Vicki Wickham ( Dusty Springfield s Manager among many others) in hopes of making a UK version of MOTOWN . It never really took off, except maybe for the one Doris Troy release which was a big Northern Soul favourite. For a really interesting article on the amazing Vicki Wickham type in - Vicki Wickham article - into Google or Yahoo . There were 17 single releases total, and the only ones I don't have are TT 507 the Doris Troy single mainly because it's so easy to find. The other is TT 510 Steve And Stevie which both sides of, are available on their album which has been re-issued.
As if you didn't know Big Bird is a very in demand Mod dancer right now. I've seen it on Want Lists saying they'd pay $100, and I've seen copies last year going for $150+ on ebay! This is the original UK issue, not the more common Spanish issue. See my other auctions for another Rosetta Hightower single (her first solo single which is a real double sider Northern Soul stormer! ) Also, her rare first solo album on Rediffusion !
