Description

Ok Metallica collectors, here is a pretty cool item.  This is Ron McGovney's original copy of Kill Em All!  I bought a bunch of stuff off him about five years ago including some stage worn vests, original flyers, etc.  I am selling this piece only.  Can you imagine hearing this album for the first time as Ron McGovney, an original member of the greatest heavy metal band of all time?  I will include a photocopy of the lot of stuff I got from Ron as verification.  The auction sold for $1,704.99!  The auction had 21,968 hits!!  It may have been the best Metallica auction ever on Ebay.  Ron autographed the inner sleeve where his name is mentioned by the band.  I am not an album collector so if there is any detail from the inner disk of the record that is important please let me know and I will relay the information on to all.  Again, I think this album is significant soley because it was owned from day one by Ron McGovney, original bass player of Metallica.  He had to know they were about to make it big but did he realize how big?  Postage, insurance on final price and proof of delivery required.  This is the one and only and a true piece of Metallica history!

I will include a photocopy of the actual ebay auction.  It was ebay auction # 3358429973.  I printed it out at the time just for insurance purposes. The original auction had the following items:  Levi denim vest with Motorhead patch on back worn on stage with photo documentation, black leather vest as seen in the photograph on the original first gig flyer (James later added chains to it which is kind of cool), backstage passes from three shows 85-86, red wrist bands worn on stage, a first generation copy of No Life Til Leather with unheard riff tape of James and Ron playing guitar, four photos of James in his high school band Obsession circa 1980, I cash recipt for gas going to the 10-17-82 gig at the Old Waldorf show in SF, one reversable table placard from the Kill Em All for One 1983 tour with Raven at Country Club, one Power Metal business card, one Plantation Inn business card were the band stayed in SF 1982, one Brian Slagle business card from 1981 and one Troubadour ticket to a Metallica gig 7-5-82 (I think I sold that a while back for $400).  I bid mainly for the vests which are pretty cool.  The album is mentioned in the auction.  I had Ron autograph the album, the vests, and the backstage passes.  I am not planning to sell any of the other stuff but if something strikes your fancy please feel free to email me.  I am enjoying the new album, how about you?  Remember, any Metallica is better than no Metallica album.  I prefer the old stuff but at the end of the day I can listen to any Metallica album or song that is playing.  My first gig was in Seattle 1985!  Unbelievable show.  My best ever concert memory!  I have a bootleg of that show too!
