Many thanks to A&R for providing this rarity, two of the hardest working guys I know. Also up for auction is Romel's full length LP - check my other listings. This is private press modern soul at its best: an otherworldly production, with a weird warbling bassline which chugs along at a slow hypnotic pace on a road to boogie-nowhere. The type of song that works just like drugs at three in the morning, entrancing listeners to slow dance alone in their rooms, more on the nod than on the beat, enraptured by the sweet-sad memories of long vanished love affairs. Dreams inside of dreams, mirrors reflecting haze... when the smoke clears the 12" is still spinning around and around... or is it perfectly still and it's the world that's spinning? Perhaps the only thing certain here is that you need this track in your life. It will help you make sense of the void! : ) I recorded the entirety of "A Love Affair" from this copy being auctioned. Grading scale: NM / EX (VG++) / VG+ / VG / VG- / G + / P (Poor). I post nothing below G+, and rarely use NM.
I grade sonically, using a Shure M44-7 cartridge with a Technics SL 1200.
Presently, I supply my own sound clips for 45 singles only (unless there are some very specific issues that I need to point out on a 12” or LP).
