Comments - Heavyweight Red Vinyl.  Limited Edition Carnaby Store Exclusive.  Limited to 1,000 copies worldwide.  500 copies sold online, which is where this was purchased and 500 copies sold in the London UK Carnaby Street Store.  

I originally sold this copy via eBay to a buyer in Italy.  This person messaged me prior to shipping asking what my policy was regarding seam split issues on receipt.  This record was unopened by me at the time.  I had not even removed it from the protective plastic sleeve. It was perfect.  

Alarm bells rang with me, but they had paid and I shipped.  It was sent in a padded premium 12” mailer with an extra divider which I taped down to prevent the record moving about.  I double checked it was secure and unable to move.  I used plenty of fragile tape on the outside of the box and marked “do not bend” and “handle with care”.  It was sent tracked and insured (my expense). 

I’m proud of my feedback, built up over 15 plus years and often get comments about good packaging.  Not ONCE have I had any issues with damage in transit, but clearly there is a first time for everything.  

As I feared, this buyer raised a case with eBay stating the item was “not as described” and it was due, allegedly, to me ignoring his requests to properly package the vinyl.  He also blamed the Italian postal service.

Interestingly, after the first message I received from this guy, I decided to make sure that I took 30+ photos of the record itself and each stage of my packaging steps I had taken before it was despatched.   

This buyer choose to move straight to raising a case without contacting me first.  As is his right.  My hands tied at this point, I asked for the return and gave a FULL refund, no quibbles. As you can see from the pics, there is indeed now a seam split on the outer sleeve halfway along the top edge.  There is also a split to the inner. 

In addition, there is now a very minor corner crease and the plastic cover has a slight tear at the opening edge (see scans).  Did I mention I had never opened this? Italian postal service must be unique in the way they handle our vinyl...  

I apologise to the 100s of amazing buyers in Europe and ROW, I will be restricting this re-sale to UK buyers only.  Please, please, please check the photos before bidding and contact me with any questions at all.

I'm a buyer, not usually a seller, of vinyl.  Mainly electronic music, my main collection stretching from the late 70's thru to the early 90's. However, when I like a new album of any genre I will generally buy a physical copy.

Please email me if you are unhappy about anything you have received.  My listings are graded sensibly and conservatively and where possible I will include info about sleeves, playing condition and any writing/stickers on labels.  If you are fussy about these things, please try and ask me detailed questions before buying.  Returns must be notified within 3 days of receipt and sent back to within 7 days.
