THE ROLLING STONES - 'BEGGAR'S BANQUET'
This EXCELLENT 1st UK STEREO pressing dates dates from initial December 1968 release.
Both sides of the disc bear unboxed blue & silver Decca labels: SKL 4955
Matrix numbers: XZAL-8476-1K & XZAL-8477-1K
The 'JT' purchase tax code is stamped into each run-out.
Stamper codes: 1/BM & 1/BM
Vinyl weight: 147g
Housed in an earliest-type outer laminated, 'Garrod & Lofthouse, Patents Pending' printed stereo gatefold cover.
Complete with its original poly-lined inner-sleeve.

Both are clean & unworn with nothing more than a collection of light spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Immaculate deep-gloss playing surfaces which are totally unmarked & 'as new' in strong daylight with just a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines and a sparkling rainbow shine visible directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp. Both sides of this well looked-after copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
Flawless and wonderful audio throughout with no trace of any groove/playwear distortion or background interference on any of these magnificent tracks. You will not hear a better sounding copy.
Cover: VERY GOOD +
A clean & firm example with light to moderate storagewear but no major faults. Both front and rear panels are unblemished and retain their high-gloss laminates with just an unavoidable light disc impression on the rear from storage but no 'thumbnail's or creasing. There is minor shelfwear bruising to the lower corners but no damage or wear to any opening edge.
The inside of the gatefold is clean & unrubbed with no writing or missing paper to either panel.
There is some flaking/missing laminate to the spine but all of the wording is present and readable. All seams of both pocket are smooth & unstressed.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with some gentle storage wrinkling storage but no writing, tears or seam splits.
