Description
THE ROLLING STONES
This ultra-rare promotional acetate was used by a radio station in Singapore to promote The Rolling Stones' final concert of their first Far East tour at The Badminton Hall, Singapore on 16th February 1965.
The 2-sided 7" 78rpm acetate has typewritten 'Rediffusion Singapore' labels dated '1-2-1965'.
The labels also bear a number of signatures, but none appear to be those of The Rolling Stones themselves.
The 40 second spot by an announcer over a bed of the track 'Not Fade Away' gives information about the concert including where to buy tickets. Both sides play the same content.

CONDITION
Disc: FAIR/POOR
This remarkable acetate has just survived these past 52 years but is showing its age. The lacquer has cracked and is crazed both sides and some is even missing towards the edges. It also has a slightly bent edge and the surfaces are dulled with fingerprints. However, despite the damage we did manage to play and record one side, the results of which can be heard on the link above. A CDR copy of this recording will be provided to the winning bidder.
This unique disc deserves to be in any serious Stones collection.
