Graham Gouldman + Kevin Godley + Lol Creme – Blinkers Nightclub private pressing single, 1967.
This is an OK example of a very rare 7” single that was made for patrons of Blinkers Nightclub in Manchester. Oddly, side one has the song Goodnight Blinkers and side two has Hello Blinkers (when logic sort of says that it perhaps ought to be the other way round). Each label has the address of Blinkers – King St West, Manchester, 3. There is what I assume is a catalogue number 1C-1215, but no name of a label / manufacturer. It was pressed privately, although some company or other must have done the pressing. They just have not left any clue!I have used the word ‘OK’ in my opening line (rather than anything more enthusiastic) as the record is rather ‘tired’. It is not wrecked but both sides play with light crackle most of the way through. Not loud ‘pops’ or ‘clicks’ but there are some areas where the crackle is worse so please be aware that this is not Mint or EX or anything like that. Side two is easily the best – and I am grading that as VG. Side one would be VG except for a couple of worse scratches that can be felt to the touch. I will be honest and say that I was very worried that as they meet each other and cross over I thought they might cause the stylus to either stick or jump. I have played it on two different turntables and luckily, that is not the case. In fact – both sides play quite well, but do I have to grade side one as F+ to G because of its appearance.
My internet ‘research’ has shown that it dates from 1967. There are no song-writing or performing credits on the label but the songs were written by Graham Gouldman who appears on the record along with Kevin Godley and Lol Creme – years before they all became members of 10 C.C. I found a (or rather ‘the’) 10 C.C. website and there is a brief quote from Kevin Godley about the making of the record for which they were paid £100, along with a picture of each label. Assuming that the record will be displayed, I am happy to confirm that both labels are very clean with no writing, stickers or grazes. I have no idea what cover the record was originally housed in but this one will be supplied in a plain white paper cover.
Please do not ask me to end any auctions or 'do I have a Buy It Now price in mind?' No - I do not. I really do want it to run to the end.
It is impossible to be an expert in all realms of collecting, and I am honestly representing this item to the best of my knowledge and ability. If the item has a fault then I have mentioned it. I ask that you read the description and examine the photos carefully. I also encourage you to ask any questions you may have during the auction to help clarify identification or condition, as I may inadvertently omit information that you as a collector feel is important.
If after you receive the item there is any problem at all please let me know BEFORE leaving feedback or leaving a low Item As Described rating. If you do not let me know of a problem I have no way of knowing what may have been wrong and I really do want to sort it out.

CONDITION. The majority of items that I list are between forty and sixty years old. Some are older and some may be a few years younger. I have described the condition of the item in my text but where applicable I have also ticked the 'used' box as even where an item is 'perfect', it is very old and logic says it must have been handled and probably used at some time over the decades!

Despite the Free P&P notice shown on this listing it is not actually free to post of course! I have to pay to post them and each week / month / year I pay many thousands of pounds to my local post office. But for UK bidders the price you see at the end of the auction is the total price you pay. If by some remote chance anyone out there - including the Bods at eBay who came up with the Free P&P notice - can tell me where you really can post items for free I would really LOVE to know.
DELIVERY TIMES. Although I have ticked the Royal Mail 2nd Class Standard option, please note that this service is reliable and often is unexpectedly fast. Customers often receive their item within 48-60 hours of paying, and so please disregard the 'estimated delivery time' stated near the top of this page - which I have no control over.

Worldwide Postage / Shipping.
Upate - April 2013 - After huge increases last year that I had to pass on, this year Royal Mail have only really 'tweaked' air mail prices. Nearly all of my postage rates remain unchanged since April 2012. And please note that I have been able to reduce the cost of some of the heavier items like LP records!

TRACKING NUMBER. If an item sells for more than £35, (or for a package that has a total value of more than £35) it will need to be sent with a Tracking Number - the Royal Mail's International Signed For service. This costs an additional £5 and that price will be added so that both you - the Buyer - and myself are covered under the buyer protection policy.
PACKAGING. Please note that all of my items are well-packed in either board-backed enveloples, thick card or in boxes, and then wrapped in good quality brown paper. I do not make any separate charge for packaging materials - everything is included in the final price. Many of my feedback comments mention my good packaging and I will of course continue to meet my own standards.
