Note About Shipping To The U.S.
We are located in Canada, but have registered ourselves on eBay.com instead of eBay.ca because it gives us significantly better global exposure. The problem with this is that eBay wants us to charge shipping appropriate to US, where media mail and other options make for fairly reasonable delivery costs. We tried it for a while but ended up losing money on shipping or having to cancel the orders because we couldn't afford to ship for those rates. To manage this we have set the US shipping to run a calculator based on an American location (we chose Plattsburgh as fairly close) and charging according to UPS pricing. This avoids the cancellation issue, but can appear to the buyer to be a prohibitive shipping cost and misrepresents the shipping as being only expedited. If you give us your postal code we will see if we can offer a more reasonable option, but generally we can get a single LP by air to most places in the continental US for $11, a double $16, a few bucks less for ground. If you pay for the item and the shipping was less than you paid we will refund you the difference

Ruth Is Stranger Than Richard
Label:Virgin V 2034 Format:Vinyl, LP, Album Country:UK Released:1975 Genre:Jazz, Rock Style:Ethereal, Prog Rock, Avantgarde, Jazz-Rock
AllMusic: There was no way that Wyatt's follow-up to Rock Bottom could be as personal and searching, but this album that came barely a year later instead collects some earlier material to be revamped for this release. "Soup Song," for instance, is a rewrite of "Slow Walkin' Talk," written before the forming of Soft Machine. "Team Spirit," written with Phil Manzanera and Bill MacCormick of Quiet Sun, would turn up the same year as "Frontera" on Manzanera's Diamond Head. While some of the songs tend to plod along, the dirge-like "Five Black Notes and One White Notes," a lethargic cover of Offenbach's "Baccarole," Charlie Haden's "Song for Che," and Fred Frith's piano team-up with Wyatt on "Muddy Mouth" are magical. As usual, the assembled band, including the underrated Gary Windo on sax and Mongezi Feza on trumpet, never dissapoint.

Inner sleeve is black paper over plastic polyethylene, white Virgin logo and data over black background.
On center label side B, track B5 is divided in two parts numbered 5 (Muddy Mouse (c)) and 6 (Muddy Mouth), but is actually only one band on the vinyl. On the record sleeve, track B5 is listed as "Muddy Mouse (c) which in turn leads to Muddy Mouth" (with the two song titles "Muddy Mouse (c)" and "Muddy Mouth" in italics) indicating that this track is two songs that segue (the linking phrase "which in turn leads to" being a reference to a lyric from Muddy Mouth).
