Description
This album is a 1987 remastered release of an album originally recorded in 1961. The great Reverend Gary Davis. Album tracks are Davis' 'religious' tracks. Davis, of course, is an immeasurably accomplished and influential guitarist, not to mention his lyrics and vocal stylings. His 'rediscovery' was a direct influence on the 1960s folk guitarists, among them Dave Van Ronk, Roy Bookbinder, Rory Block, Stefan Grossman, to name a few. I am partial to the track Bad Company Brought Me Here, but that may be an autobiographical prejudice. Album is new, sealed.
