Dear Record-Collectors,
This week, I am offering you a selection of rare Lps from my personal collection. I am not a professional seller, but an avid collector who shares some of his gems from time to time. This is my first auction series this year. Please check my feedback to confirm the quality and service I am proud to provideAll LPs have been thoroughly inspected, including a playcheck on my Thorens 126 MKIII with EMT 929 arm and EMT TSD 15 cartridge for stereo and EMT TMD 25 for mono records .
Most of these records have been washed and put into new inner sleeves. If the original inner sleeves are still available, they will be included
Here I have a major violin rarity:
One of the few post-WW-recordings by Vasa Prihoda. On this 10-inch record from the mid-1950ies he plays two own compositions and his transcriptions of the Richard Strauss waltzes from Rosenkavalier. This record demonstrates the sublime mastership of this genius whose career was heavily damaged by politics. What a violin player!

condition:
Sleeve: g, general wear, a stain to the left seam and a tear at the opening, lower seam splits
Record: the record looks shiny and quite nice with only light surface wear. However it has been played with bad equipment. That causes major distortions if you play this record with a standard elliptical stereo needle. Also the mono set with the spherical needle did not help too much. Finally I found much better results with ultra fine line, van den hull and Shibata pickups that went beneath the damaged part of the groove. Here the record played quite nicely and with only light distorsion.
This LP comes from the legacy of a professional Italian violinist who cared a lot for the music, but not too much for the vinyl. Still, being ultra rare, I consider it as a collectable record.
Although I found a way to really enjoy the playback, will I grade it as g, just to avoid trouble
