Description
This is the rare first pressing of Colossem's second LP but the first one for the Vertigo label titled "Valentyne Suite" (VO 1) as released in 1969 on the "spiral / swirl" label. This LP is a must-have for any collector of Progressive Jazz Rock music or collectors of the Vertigo label especially as it is the first album released on Vertigo and has the "A Philips Record Product" below the VERTIGO logo. The smooth textured gate-fold sleeve is super clean, square almost new and near mint condition. Both record labels are spotlessly clean as can be seen in the pics with no spindle lines or wear and the black vinyl surfaces are also super clean and shiny with maybe one or two very light hairlines not affecting the sound which is clear and bright making this a unique addition to any music collection. The band Colosseum who featured John Hiseman on drums are legends in the world of progressive jazz rock and this album is a true gem for fans of the genre. If you are a collector looking to add to your collection or a music lover looking to discover some of the best prog rock music of the 1960's and 70's, this album is sure to impress.
