Description
Very tough to find Modern Soul 45 by Chateau on Quiet Storm label # 004.Songs titled Strike A Spark on one side with the song Feelings on the other side.Pretty sought after Modern Soul record but has a bad warp.Played through fine on both sides on my record player with no skips.Also along with the bad warp is a heat damage area on grooves that from very edge of record goes into grooves a little less than 3/8ths of an inch.It's on about 1/4th of the actual grooves.I've taken some pictures of the heat damage area so Please take a look for a better view.The Strike A Spark side of record has quite afew light scratches with 7 scratches feelable with fingernail.Most of these light scratches look to be scratches caused by scuffing instead of an actual needle.Has some scuffing.Does have good shine on grooves.The Feelings side of record has multiple light scratches with about 12 scratches feelable with fingernail.A good majority of the scratches also caused by scuffing.Side also has scuffing.Good shine on grooves.I did play test both sides and they play as follows.The Strike A Spark side has approximately 20 pops/ticks first 35 or so seconds of song.Also has a light with medium at times background crackle first half of song.Most of the background noise probably caused by heat damage area on first half of song.Has 3 pops near middle of song and then the second half of song is much quieter with no background noise.Few ticks near very end of song.The Feelings side of record has a background crackle first minute and a half which is about a one third of the song.Most likely caused by heat damage spot.The last 2/3rds of song plays very nicely and much quieter with no background noise,no pops, and no ticks.If buyer is not 100% satisfied I have a return for refund on all records I sell.
