This album is incredibly hard to find, especially in this condition. It features a 22-year Hank Mobley joining Max Roach on only his third full-length release. The others in the quartet are Franklin Skeete and Walter Davis II. Debut Records was co-owned by Max and Charles Mingus and this is the only album Max did for the label.
GRADE & DESCRIPTION (COVER): VG+ - The cover shows little wear for an album almost sixty-five years old. There are no unwanted marks or writings. Please check out photos.
GRADE & DESCRIPTION (RECORD): VG+ to VG++ - The vinyl looks good and shows little wear for an album this old. I played it just before I listed it, and except for an occasional very faint pop, the music plays clean and beautifully. An excellent copy of this very rare release.
