Stefano Torossi & Giovanni Tommaso – Echoing America

 

Original Italian only Sonorizzazioni/Library on the cult Sermi label (SR SP 130) from the very early 70s. Torossi (Side A) and Tommaso (Side B), two big names in the Italian Progressive Jazz/Library scene, team up with the help of I Marc 4 on one of the funkiest Sermi releases. The standout tracks are the ‚Sixth Dimension’ & ‚Coast To Coast’, both killer Psychedelic Funk featuring pounding electric bass, drums, organ, electronic effects and delirious fuzz guitar licks. totally fresh and superfunky midtempo Hip Hop beats with dramatic & repetitive rhythm patterns, which make you headnodding, foottapping or dancing immediately. next in the soundclip is the great ‚Harlem Jungle’, on the back described as: ‚Pulsating frantic beat of drums with electronic bird-like effects give this peace an atmosphere oft he jungle.’ On the B side Giovanni Tommaso serves up with killer electronic jazz / dark Giallo style beats on ‚Metropolis’, Latin Jazz Funk on ‚New Mexico’ and not to forget the frantic Jazz Organ-mania of ‚Black Power’. Killer music all the way and one of the many essential Librarys when it comes to collecting Italian funk music! Very Rare!
