UP FOR GRABS IS THIS RARE LP BY RAY BROWN AND THE WHISPERS UNDER THE LEEDON LABEL. THIS IS A PROMO COPY. I BELIEVE SENT TO A MUSIC REVIEWER.

Ray Brown & the Whispers were in the vanguard of the first wave of Australian beat pop, from 1964-67, and during their brief career they were one of the most successful and celebrated bands in the country. Aided by his boyish good looks and considerable charm, singer Ray Brown ranked alongside Stevie Wright, Billy Thorpe and Normie Rowe as one of the most popular stars of the period, and The Whispers are now widely recognised as being one of its most accomplished bands. Although they enjoyed unprecedented success at the time, the group was short-lived, and their contribution to Australian music, both during and after the beat boom, is still sadly under-appreciated.

THE LABELS: SIDE 1 - EX SIDE 2 - EX there are maybe two spindle marks on labels total! Sample marking stamp

THE COVER:  VG No seams splits but small tear near opening (see picture) plus small ring wear and writing on rear (see scan)

THE VINYL: VG. Vinyl still has some nice shine. It does have numerous hairline marks buts plays a VG+ with background noise ... it's a great listen that would make a great addition to your collection...If you have any concerns about the accuracy of my grading, please refer to the scans or I am more than happy answer any questions.

HOW DOES IT SOUND?; It plays great. It does have background noise, especially between tracks but you will be too busy rocking out to care. SHAKIN ALL OVER
