VINYL is NM/EX+
Thick, Non-Flexible, full gloss Vinyl has very few extremely light hairlines Side 1, viewed in hard bright light, that are inaudible. Side 2 is NM. Labels are pristine both sides with no spindle marks.
.
COVER is NM
Super clean and snapping bright, with no wear front and back. No creases, writing or soil. All edges straight, all corners sharp. Seams and spine are superb, with only a tiny spot of wear at left tip of top seam. No splits.

As unfathomable as it seems from the distance of over 30 years, for a few months, Gerry & the Pacemakers were the Beatles' nearest competitors in Britain.
.
Like The Beatles, they came from Liverpool, were managed by Brian Epstein and produced by George Martin.
.
Credited with creating what became known as the "Mersey" sound, Gerry and The Pacemakers had been around since 1959; the various members playing in other skiffle and beat groups before that.
.
Gerry Marsden and his band burst out of the gate with three consecutive number one U.K. hits in 1963, "How Do You Do It", "I Like It," and "You'll Never Walk Alone". Two of these are on this LP along with their first #1 hit of 1964 the title track, one of the most beautiful, haunting songs from the British Invasion era: "Don't Let The Sun Catch You Crying".

As cool as those songs are in their own right, the greatest thing about this LP is the steaming hot rockers -  marvelous Merseyside covers of Chuck Berry "Mabelline", Larry Williams "Slow Down" and a more mid-tempo Hank Williams "Jambalaya". Like The Beatles, The Pacemakers had an uncanny ability to work the Liddypool magic on American R&B, Rockabilly and Country classics.
