Label: RCA Victor LPM 1254 C (Black/silver label reads ‘Made in U.S.A.’ but deadwax shows this to be ‘Manufactured in Germany’

Year: 1956


Rare pressing of Elvis’s debut available only to US servicemen abroad at PX stores. Cover is a standard mono US jacket with pink/green box on front but back cover has the unique ‘PX stamp’ (albeit colored in with pen) only found on these extremely limited issues.


Condition record: G. Plays noisily with crackle and pops but does not skip and the quality of the mastering leaves the guitar and vocals prominent in the mix.


Condition cover: G+ Apart from a full bottom seam split and a 2/3 of the way top seam split, the cover has aged well - vibrant light pink lettering down the side and green across the bottom with the iconic visage of the King himself clear and undamaged.
