Description
Notes
This is a quality part-official* release, packaged in a regular card-weight gloss-print sleeve, with a photo of Vliet and one of his sketches on the cover - printed 3 color. The back cover has a further waist-up pic of Vliet, with the label's logo & track-list.
*This is possibly an actual God's Golfball project, a concept/company belonging to Vliet for a short period. The apparently random cat# is actually the recording date. The quality of the package is also higher than for a regular 'bootleg'.
The 2 vinyls have blue & white labels, headed with "Don Van Vliet" rather than the band name.
Apart from the addition of the last 2 tracks, from difficult to acquire singles, this album is simply a live recording of the band's performance at The Country Club, Reseda, California on 29th January 1981. The credits give the recording source as those of Wally Heider Sound's remote facility, which explains the sound quality.
Country of release is very likely USA.
