Description
Rare very hard to find 1956 German issued first pressing Lp title Elvis by Elvis Presley.RCA label # LPM-1382-C.This is the original 1st press made in Germany with the Long Play on the outside of the RCA logo near top of label see picture.The later 2nd pressing did not have the Long Play by the RCA logo.The cover does have some probles such as the 2 tears near where the record pulls out see picture.These 2 spots appear to have been clear tapes at one time many many years ago.There is a tiny amount of tape residue but not much at all.You could see it also stained the tears some.Also has a very slight 1/4th inch top seam split and some writing on the back cover.Very small blue ink circle near spine on front cover.Has 2 holes near the spine also see picture.Has a very small stain on back cover near lower left corner.Also has the glossy type cellophane over the cover pulling away on the bottom corners and a very small amount near top seam.Has a little bit of graying on front cover also by the spine and on Elvis's hair.Also a where the record pulls out it possibly could have been slightly cut or trimmed at one time as it appears a bit uneven.The cover is still longer than other Lp standard covers so I'm not sure if it was trimmed slightly or not see pictures.Still has the original German paper record sleeve inside cover in very nice shape although it does have the 2 holes in it and a crease in 1 corner.Records labels both in very nice condition and the records wax is extremely thick and not flexible at all.Record has quite afew scratches which are mostly light but there is also some smaller type scratches on both sides I can feel with fingernail.Has some light groove wear on side 2 but still a nice looking record.Also has made in Germany in trail off wax of record.A very scarce record with the cover not in the best of condition but still quite a conversation piece.Also the only German 1st pressing of this Lp I have seen in 20 + years of record collecting.I also will be posting other Elvis Lps this week.Please check other auctions if interested as you can combine multiple auctions to save on shipping.If the buyer is not 100% satisfied I have a retrun for refund policy on all records I sell.Buyer to pay $4.00 shipping anywhere in the U.S.
