Another from my personal collection of over 50,000 albums that I have collected over a period of more than 45 years! and only been played to initially record to tape and then stored away for over 45 years to keep this in absolutely stunning condition! On initial inspection the vinyl looks unplayed in my opinion the audio is stunning throughout and this plays with no loud clicks or pops no distortion,in fact absolutely perfect on my systems! Here for your self in the player below. Actual recording from the vinyl!

, The audio is graded as near as mint in my opinion! No Needle scratches or Marks that would cause any nasty loud constant clicks or pops!
The original 1st issue E.J.Day & Co Press printed cover is also superbe throughout with just light rubbing only or storage wear only but this flimsy unlaminated cover is in trully exceptional condition throughout in my opinion. Graded at least better than excellent  to excellent plus in my opinion. 45 years old just try to find a better copy! Blues Archive! The Best sounding copy that I have heard!

One of the best ever blues guitarests in my opinion!

Looks Unplayed In My Opinion Look You Can Still See The Plastic!  Very, Very Rare 45 Years Old Like This!

Tattoo is the fifth studio album released by Rory Gallagher. It demonstrated Gallagher's eclectic range of musical influences starting with the blues and adding elements from jazz, folk, and country.

Tattoo showcased the skill of Gallagher and his band across a number of genres from Delta and Chicago blues, the jazz-influenced "They Don't Make Them Like You Anymore" and blues-rock tracks such as "Tattoo'd Lady".

According to his brother, Gallagher was in a "prolific and confident mood" when he recorded it. The album showcased Gallagher's writing ability resulting in several songs that would go on to become staples of his live act. Tattoo'd Lady reflects Gallagher's love for the fairground life and its similarities to life on the road.

"Cradle Rock" was inspired by the happy coincidence that Gallagher "rocked literally all his life" having been born at the "Rock Hospital" in Ballyshannon, Ireland.

"Cradle Rock" was also covered by Joe Bonamassa as the first track on his debut album A New Day Yesterday. Tattoo illustrates Gallagher's proficiency with all manner of guitar playing from acoustic to electric, various types of slide guitar, and mandolin. On the song "They Don't Make Them Like You Anymore" Rory used the bouzouki of Greek virtuoso Manolis Chiotis. Rory was a big fan of the Greek virtuoso, and as a tribute played "Perasmenes mou agapes" as an intro to the above-mentioned song.

William Rory Gallagher; 2 March 1948 – 14 June 1995) was an Irish blues and rock multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and bandleader. Born in Ballyshannon, County Donegal, and brought up in Cork, Gallagher recorded solo albums throughout the 1970s and 1980s, after forming the band Taste during the late 1960s.

His albums have sold over 30 million copies worldwide.

Gallagher received a liver transplant in 1995, but died of complications later that year in London at the age of 47.

The Matrix

383233  A#1 (Machine Stamped) Crossed Out/Corrected Matrix (Only 1st UK Press)

383233 B#1 (Machine Stamped) Crossed Out/Corrected Matrix (Only 1st UK Press)

The Vinyl

This is the original heavier and deeper grooved type of vinyl. On visual inspection this looks superbe in fact like a new vinyl in my opinion just like it had just came from the shop!! Any marks that could possibly be seen in strong light would only be light whispy sleeve removal scuffs/marks! (To be honest I struggle to see any at all, at least nothing that would cause any constant clicks or pops)

The Audio Quality

I have play tested this awesome looking vinyl at very loud volume on a top system (two times) prior to listing! This audio is absolutely superb throughout. Stunning audio seperation, Rich bassey feel only found like this on the earliest pressings with the earliest stampers! No  loud constant clicks or pops and certainly no distortion at all!  Near as Mint on my systems throughout! Without a dought the best sounding copy that i have heard!

Please note! I always add this disclaimer! Please allow for the odd static/tick/pop (not consistant throughout the audio) This is a genuine vinyl (not a reissue) that is 45 years old and would have originally been played on a 45 year old system! In my opinion this will produce the very top audio throughout!!

The labels

These feature the original  Polydor labels (only 1st UK press1st label variation for this pressing) in awesome condition. I find it really hard to see any real spider traces at all, and spider traces that could perhapes or may possibly be seen would be barely one or two if looked for! Looks  Like this has just left the shop in my opinion!  This vinyl has obviously barely ever been played., (no) spindle ware the hole is perfectly round! In fact you can even still see the original plastic in the spindle hole!

The cover

This is the original 1st issue ''E.J.Day& Co ltd''  printed Unlaminated textured cover! Note: This Very flimsy type cover iss extremely hard to keep in superb condition like this one after all these years!  There is (no) splits or tares (NO) splits or tares. No real nasty creases to talk of, amaizingly (no) nasty storage ware to the corners at all! (no) writing or nasty names! Strong and straight! Any storage wear is light onlyin the form of light rubbing at the edges, top edge only noticed if looked for in my opinion, very slight crease wear at the opening edge to mention very light markings only.  This is the original so hard to find in this condition after 45 years!! Look No Ringwear that I can see! Very very rare to find after 45 years!  I would grade this at least much better than excellent to excellent plus in my opinion!

The record sleeve

The original poly lined white sleeve (Correct for this issue) has just very few creasings/staining/fading with age only (no) splits or tares and is stored seperately from the vinyl!
