ROLLING STONES
STICKY FINGERS
Rolling Stones Records 1971 COC-59100
Signed by Craig Braun, designer of the album cover.
Art director/designer Craig Braun, of Craig Braun, Inc. was responsible for the design of the 1971 Rolling Stones
"Sticky Fingers" album cover featuring Andy Warhol's concept of a working zipper inset into the front graphic.
It included the tongue and lips logo which Craig translated into an exclusive line of "LICKS" jewelry and promo items.
Braun later formed the partnership of Wilkes & Braun with the late Tom Wilkes in the 1970s
and produced the now famous "Red" and "Blue" covers for the Beatles released in 1973, the outrageous
school desk package for Alice Cooper's "School's Out" released in 1972 with paper panties around the record,
and the 1973 Grammy Award winning "Tommy with the London Symphony Orchestra" boxed set for the Who.
This signed LP is a design sample from Craig's personal collection.
It is signed in red on the inside dust sleeve under his credit: Album Design/Graphics: Craigbrauninc.
The jacket is near mint, the brass zipper is very shiny and works, the back has some surface indentations,
from being in a stack of other Sticky Fingers albums where the zipper pull would leave an indent
on the back of album above. The dust sleeve is near mint and the vinyl is excellent to near mint with
some very light handling prints, no spindle marks on the labels, does not look played.
