Especially because of the significance of this album on music in the 60s...
LET IT BLEED has been called "the great summing up of the dark underbelly of the 1960s.”
A historic album not just in terms of the music charts or numbers sold, but for capturing the essence of the 1960s — a decade of rebellion in which people across the world rose up against oppression in all its form.
ALBUM TRACKS:
Let It Bleed | Love In Vain | Midnight Rambler | Gimme Shelter | You Got The Silver
You Can't Always Get What You Want | Live With Me | Monkey Man | Country Honk
OTHER INTERESTING TIDBITS ABOUT THE ALBUM:
LET IT BLEED finds the Stones brimming with musical confidence and artistic inspiration. It is the second of the Stones' run of four studio LPs that are generally regarded as among their greatest achievements artistically (the other three being Beggars Banquet ’68, Sticky Fingers ’71, and Exile on Main Street ’72). The album has been called a great summing up of the dark underbelly of the 1960s.
Released in December 1969 By Decca Records in the United Kingdom and London Records in the USA, LET IT BLEED was the 8th British and 10th American rock album by The Rolling Stones. The album reached # 1 in the UK (temporarily knocking The Beatles' Abbey Road out of the top slot) and # 3 on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart in the US, where it eventually went double platinum.
Notably, it is the last album by The Rolling Stones that featured Brian Jones and the first to feature Mick Taylor.

____________
All of my albums come from the private collection of a 20+ year London Records Executive who worked for the label in New York City during the 60s, 70s, and into the early to mid-80s. My uncle and I inherited his entire record collection. Every LP we list comes exclusively out of that private collection.
