Pressing Features:
First US Pressing
- Matrix / Runout (Variant 1, Runout, Side 1): XARL-6791-1A
- Matrix / Runout (Variant 1, Runout, Side 2): XARL-6792-2A
- LL.3429 on labels and LL 3429 on jacket front cover and spine.
- London Records, (FFrr) Full Frequency Range Recording, #LL-3429 mono LP.
Fourth “Stones” LP record released in the U.S. Release date: July 30th, 1965.
The first cut on side one is “Mercy, Mercy” which makes this a U.S. release.
The major distinguishing factor featured on these 1st presses will be the boxed LONDON ffrr (full frequency range recording) logo.
LONDON ffrr label does not guarantee a U.S.-market first pressing unless it denotes 'Made In England.' The U.K. exclusively exported the first ffrr label Stones albums to the U.S. U.S. catalog number LL-3429 with "MADE IN ENGLAND BY THE DECCA CO. LTD" labels.
- English-pressed disc and US-made cover. Red label with "deep groove." Unlike other UK pressed copy The Rolling Stones - Out Of Our Heads, this album doesn't have Band 1 etc. on label, just number and titles even though "unauthorised" is used in the radial rim text which is common for UK press labels.
Matrix Numbers upside down text, above main cat# on labels, are: Side One ARL.6791, Side Two ARL.6792 with brackets (similar to UK releases).
Credits:
- Lacquer Cut At – Decca Studios
- Arranged By – The Rolling Stones
- Lacquer Cut By – A (26)
- Liner Notes – Andrew Loog Oldham

Very bright and clean deep red labels (London Logo boxed and Ears at 2 o'clock) with Silver Text...no spindle marks or blemishes.
Record Grading: (VG+/EX)
LP surface is very clean, bright and glossy with only a few very faint, wispy hairline/sleeve marks; appears lightly played and plays crisp and loud with little to no background or surface noise.
Sleeve Grading: (VG+)
Thick sturdy U.S. jacket has no cut-out, split seams, edge, corner or spine wear; has some visible ring wear/discoloration and bottom corner rub; fully intact jacket sleeve cover with legible spine.
