Cover - B1Label - X HI THERE HERE WE HAVE A RARE VERSION OF THE ROLLING STONES FIRST LP the cover is in good to very good condition the front is laminated and the back has the flip back folds to the top and bottom as described above there is some laminate damage but all intact the back has some discoloration but and extremely rare version of this lp cover the spine is still readable but again has some wear to it please see pics as we always add plenty the original inner is in good condition too but has some staining HOWEVER!! THE RECORD PLAYS AMAZING FULL ON CLEAR AND CRISP AUDIO THROUGHOUT!! SO RARE LIKE THIS !! JUST TRY FINDING ANOTHER COPY WITH THIS MUCH AUDIO ATTITUDE!! the record has a nice bright glossy sheen to both sides but does have the odd very light scratch but DOES NOT AFFECT PLAY!! the labels are bright and clean but the spindles do show wear and looks to have been played quite a few times! but the audio has not dropped in quality in any way SIMPLY STUNNING!! ans so rare like this with NO RUN IN NOISE BOTH SIDES STUNNING! this a seriously rare version of this LP and trying to find another copy in any decent condition is extremely difficult (especially with stunning audio as this copy has) and becoming rarer and rarer! don't miss out bid now!! there was only some very very light static in between a couple of tracks please note we do not clean lps so audio may improve! don't miss out bid now with confidence as returns welcome if unhappy but with this much audio quality i doubt it!!
important info
General practice in the early 1960s was to release a version of an album to include more singles on from a British band, to aid it's selling/marketability. As a result the US version omits album songs on the UK version, even carrying an alternative title of "England's Newest Hitmakers"?, whilst the UK version omits the corresponding singles included on the US version.
NOTE about how to discern early UK pressings:
''First'' pressings of the UK release are on a red/silver Decca ''ear'' label. There are, however, quite some differences.
The very first issue plays a different version of ''Tell Me'' with a running time of 2:52. This edition is recognizable by the matrix number of side B: XARL 6272-1A
All later issues (with varying matrix numbers) play an edit of ''Tell Me'' with a running time of 4:06, but both the labels and covers have differences: five label variations and four cover variations are in existence, making for twenty discernable editions in addition to the very first one described above.
Cover A1
The back cover lists ''Mona'' as track A4, the cover has ''flipbacks'': top and bottom are folded over the back cover.
Cover A2
The back cover lists ''Mona'' as track A4, the cover has no ''flipbacks'', but the lamination is folded over to the back cover in a small band.
Cover B1
The back cover lists ''I Need You Baby'' as track A4, the cover has ''flipbacks'': top and bottom are folded over the back cover.
Cover B2

Label V:
The label rim reads on top ''Made in England. The Decca Record Co. Ltd.'', the NCB (no full stops) and B.I.E.M. captions are on the right hand side on side A. On side B the BIEM caption is omitted and N.C.B. caption appears with full stops.
Label W
The label rim reads on top "Made In England. The Decca Record Co. Ltd". On Side 1 label the N.C.B. and B.I.E.M. captions are stacked vertically on the left hand side. On Side 2 label the N.C.B. and B.I.E.M. captions are side by side on the left hand side.
Label X
The label rim reads on top ''Made in England'' and nothing more, the N.C.B. and B.I.E.M. captions are on the left hand side.
Label Y
The label rim reads on top ''Made in England. The Decca Record Co. Ltd.'', the N.C.B. and B.I.E.M. captions are on the right hand side.
Label Z
The label rim reads on top ''Made in England. The Decca Record Co. Ltd.'', the N.C.B. caption is on the right hand side, the B.I.E.M. caption is missing altogether.
Still later pressings have a ''boxed'' Decca logo on top of the label, these are considered second pressings.
