Description
This is a mega-rare mis-printed test-pressing (white label) of the Rocket From the Crypt 7" 'Cut It Loose', which was originally released as part of a split, double 7" single package (with Blood Thirsty Butchers) on Bacteria Sour records (a subsidiary of the legenday Pusmort label) in 1994. What makes this test-pressing remarkable is that, instead of the regular tracks on the b-side ('On Living & Dying' / 'Pressure's On') this version was pressed with a version of the track 'Glazed' instead of 'On Living & Dying'. I've done some research and it appears that this version of 'Glazed' is the one that appears on the very scarce 'Rocket Pack' 7" (which also featured 'Cut It Loose') rather than the extended version found on the 'Circa Now' LP. 'Rocket Pack' was originally released on the Pusmort label (limited to 75 copies, apparently !) so that may explain the mix-up. Additionally, (according to the pettediscographies.com website) there were a very limited number of these test pressings (8 !) sent out with handmade artwork by Pushead himself... unfortunately, this version is just a plain old white label.
Just for authenticity, here's the matrix details. A-side is 'PUS 007-05 A1' (same as the regular issue) while the B-side is 'PUS 007-05-B1' (rather than 'PUS 007-005 B2' on the regular single. If you have any other questions, let me know.
