Description
A probably unplayed copy of Robert Johnson: The Complete Original Masters/Centennial Edition, the 2011 collection containing replica 10" pressings of twelve of Johnson's original 78s, remastered to play at 45 RPM, with a biographical booklet, housed in a reproduction 78 album.
This was issued in a limited edition of 1000 numbered copies; this is an unnumbered promotional copy sent to a record company employee. The discs look unplayed, all in Mint to Near Mint condition. The label of the 'Malted Milk' disc has some rippling, but is otherwise without issue. The booklet is in Near Mint condition, as is the cover, with a bit of very light wear.
A beautiful example of this rarity.
From Discogs.com: Recreated in the historic look of the twelve 10″-78rpm discs these Limited Edition collector’s sets are individually numbered to 1000. Housed in a lavish 10″ album book with reproductions of the original record labels. Also included a 24-page booklet with a new 1,500-word essay written by Ted Gioia, Texas-based pianist and music historian, along with complete historic track annotation and discographic data.
