Description
Truly beautiful copy of the rare original 1959 pressing Ritchie Valens' self-titled first album on Del-Fi mono DFLP-1201. Features the classics La Bamba and Donna. This is the very rare true first pressing with the blue labels and the error on the back cover, where the song "I Got a Gal Named Sue" is listed, which is actually called "That's My Little Suzie". This copy is truly lovely. The disc has a few light scuffs and superficial marks but really not bad at all. It plays near flawlessly, with only a few moments of light crackle. Really a beautiful sounding copy. The cover is also remarkably clean, with a seam split at the top edge about halfway across, and a little section at the top of the back cover where the top layer of the cardboard has been cut, but not all the way through. Just the surface. A bit of light general shelfwear as well, but really overall this cover is unusually clean. Most early copies are way more worn than this. Truly this is a gorgeous original copy, hard for me to part with, and hard to top.
