Near mint 1959 RCA Victor Shaded Dog Living Stereo 7 LP box set “8 Great Symphonies” (RCA Victor LSC 6902) featuring the Boston Symphony Orchestra under the direction of either Charles Munch or Pierre Monteux. Included is an excellent 12 page booklet about the music and the performances.
The symphonies conducted by Charles Munch are: Beethoven-No 3 In E Flat (Eroica)/Mendelssohn-No 4 In A (Italian)/Mendelssohn-No 5 In D Minor (Reformation)/Brahms-No 1 In C Minor/Brahms-No 4 In E Minor/Franck-Symphony In D Minor.
Symphonies conducted by Pierre Monteux are: Tchaikovsky-No 5 In E Minor/Tchaikovsky-No 6 In B Minor (Pathetique).
The LPs play near mint. There are a few light scratches and sleeve scuffs on three of the records but I play graded all the LPs and those three all played through with very little notice. It is one of those cases where these three play much better than they look. The 12 page insert is near mint and the box shows just light wear. All 7 LPs come in their original RCA Victor audiophile inner sleeves.
