Description
Lee Morgan sextet. Blue Note. BLP 1541. Lexington Ave. Jazz drummer JR Mitchell's copy. I'm not a professional grader but would say its a G+. Record has a some scratches and surface wear. Does not skip. JR Mitchell is stamped on the label. Jacket is about a G+. It is split at the bottom (looks intentional) and taped at the normal opening. I have a few of his records and they are all like that. Jacket has some shelf wear. 767 Lexington Ave is printed on the sleeve and label. Please contact me with any questions.

James Roland "J. R." Mitchell (April 13, 1937 – January 25, 2004) was a jazz drummer and educator who sought to promote awareness of the African American music experience. In the early 1980s, jazz journalist and Washington Post music critic W. Royal Stokes wrote, "J. R. Mitchell is the renaissance man of jazz."
