*RARE* Waylon Jennings At JD's LP (LP-1001) 1964 Sounds Ltd. Records, 500 made. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
500 COPIES SOLD ONLY AT JD'S IN PHOENIX, AZ
Though listed in several sources as a live recording, it is in fact a studio album, recorded at Arizona Recorders in Phoenix on December 4, 1964. Equipment used: Ampex Master Recorder, Telefunken and Altec condenser microphones.
In 1961, Jennings and his band began playing a club called J.D.'s in Phoenix, Arizona, owned by J.D. Musil. Jennings' eclectic repertoire, which included country, rock and roll, and folk music, made him a local star as he gained a loyal fan base throughout Arizona. Released to capitalize on Jennings' popularity, Waylon at J.D.'s was sold only at Musil's nightclub, and it sold out quickly and a new batch of albums was pressed, and those sold out as well.
Side 1 runout etched JD 1001 S-1 STW 6525 (2 symbols)
Vinyl plays really well, almost no discernable audio flaws. Sleeve bottom is split center to edge, spine has a little wear toward the bottom and top edge also split from about halfway to the opening.
All records are machine cleaned and placed in new antistatic sleeves. Shipped with the vinyl outside the cover, sandwiched between cardboard and in a record shipper.
