Elvis Presley (Scotty And Bill) " Mystery Train / I Forgot To Remember To Forget " SUN Records 223 1955. Original pressing. Dark yellow labels with brown print and design. The labels have "U-156 / U-157 ". The trail off has 45-U-156 X 20 and 45-U-157 X 20". NOTE: This is the only one without the press points of his original Sun recordings. Sam Phillips used a different pressing plant for this one. This record also has "M.S.I. Co "in the dead wax pressed backwards. This indicates it was pressed at the M.S. I. pressing plant in Philadelphia which handled the overflow pressing orders for Sun records in 1955. This is a variation that doesn't show up as often as the local Memphis pressings. The record has numerous scratches and scuffs and smudges on both sides. Most are light and surface only but a few can barely be felt. A "groove track" like area at the end of play on both sides. It plays with some "crackling/sizzling" on both sides but his voice still comes through fairly loud and strong. No skips or hesitations. NOTE: There is a "drop out" of the sound at the very beginning of play on the B side for just a couple of revolutions. The labels have some wear and ring wear on both sides.
