RARE ORIGINAL MONO LP BY 'KALEIDOSCOPE' - "TANGERINE DREAM" (FONTANA TL 5448) RELEASED IN 1967
This is an auction for the RARE ORIGINAL MONO LP BY 'KALEIDOSCOPE' - "TANGERINE DREAM" (FONTANA TL 5448) RELEASED IN 1967. This is from my personal collection and is the original UK Mono Fontana release which I bought originally from the famous "Beano's" record store in Croydon 25 years ago (It no longer exists). The A Side Matrix No. is 687969 1L 1420 and The B Side Matrix No. is 687969 2L 1420. The condition of the LP is the same as when I bought it (it was played for me in the shop once) and I've probably only played it myself about 3 times during that time as I then bought the "5 Hours Back" reissue which came out came out soon after I purchased this original from 'Beanos'.
The condition of the LP is:
LABELS on both sides are in "MINT" condition with no spindle marks.
SIDE 1 of the LP is in "MINT" glossy condition and you can see it's only been played a very few times in its' life
SIDE 2 of the LP is in "EXCELLENT" glossy condition and again you can see it's only been played a very few times in its' life, there are a couple of pops on Track 1, 2 clicks on Track 2, a couple of light clicks on Track 3, 3 or 4 light clicks on Track 4 and there's what looks like a small manufacturing fault on Track 5 (about 1mm dia.) which causes about 8 light clicks but the stylus doesn't jump, there's 3 tiny dinks (each about 1.5mm lg) on the very edge of the rim of the record only on side 2 which of course don't interfere with play.
The sleeve is in overall "EXCELLENT " condition:
FRONT OF SLEEVE: the front cover photo is extremely clean and shiney just like it's come out of the record shop in 1967, some creasing on the top left corner where it may have been bumped slightly in the past (not by me!), 3 extremely light, hardly noticeable horizontal creases down the left hand side. There is no ringwear but you can see a very faint outline of part of the LP (about 3/4 of a ring) when held at a certain angle to the light.
BACK OF SLEEVE: the back of the sleeve is clean and white just like it's come out of the record shop in 1967, light crease top left corner, 4 minor horizontal creases on the glossy foldover on right side. There is no ringwear but you can see a very faint outline of the LP (about 1/3 of a ring) when held at a certain angle to the light.
EDGES OF THE SLEEVE: there are extremely small minor rub marks on each corner of the top and bottom edges (T/Left: 5mm, T/Right: 2mm, B/Left: 2mm, B/Right: 2mm) and at the top of the spine it has been rubbed slightly but is still white but the lustre has gone.
