Description
STERLING BALL 1971- Motown Records- No # This is the ACTUAL record that was given away at the ball in memorial for Loucy Gordy Wakefield who was Barry Gordy's sister.
This record is VERY RARE as it was never released in this way and was only given to the attendees of the benefit. This record is not to be confused with MT-642 which is the released copy and has the motown imprint on the label (see photos)
Cover is VG+ with only a 2" break on the inner gatefold seam that is slightly visible from the outside and minor scuffing.
Vinyl is VG++
Historical Note: This record was recovered from The Motown offices on Woodward avenue that were abandoned after the move to Los Angeles. It has since been torn down. There were two covers but only one contained the record. This one.
