Description

Rare Legendary record to Godchild album from 1975 to the French Label les Tretaux:6286.a blinding batch of funky jazz from the French studio scene, one that mixes together wah wah guitars, funky piano, percussion, and some great work on horns -- jazzy, easy, and filled with plenty of choppy sound library groovers! Titles include "Koun-Toupack", "Chut bebe dort", "Retour De Flamme", "Reveil Matin", "Il Ne S'est Rine Passe", "4 Pas Et Demi", and "Pastagan","Perdigouna ", La tete qui bout.GODCHILD : Godchild, french original LP on Les Treteaux 6286 MONO/STEREO. I have found a good drescription of the music on a website (french.attack) : "Yes, this is the LP every serious funk collectors are looking for. Coordinated by Jean Claude Pierric and some secret weapons (Joel Dayde, Eric Leton..), evey tracks are gifted by the god of groove. More various than Harlem P.T, the musical spectrum ranges from blaxplo/chase theme/funky orchestra tracks ("Koun'toukoupak", the baad bass of "Chut Bebe Dort", "Pas Un Brin de Vent") to typical french scat ("Dans C'cas La Oui", "Reveil Matin"), massive hip hop beats ("Perdigouna", "La Tete Qui Bout") and of course these easy jazz funk arrangements with superb electric piano moments JC Pierric is well known for ("Retour De Flamme", "Un Bouquet De Cerise"). But the major thing with Godchild, similar to every great albums, is that you like it more and more after every listening. ". I add that is is arranged by joel dayde (the zoo singer) and jean-claude pierric, and it is mostly instrumental.. Most tracks written by to r. poulet, with alex perdigon and richard galliano at times. * I also care about release dates. I wish here to tell you I think this LP was released in 1972 NOT 75 even if the date is not written. I base my belief on the advertisings for other les treteaux lps on the back cover, these were from 71 or 72 COVER:VG+++. RECORD:EX+.
