THE ELECTRIFIED ALL GIRLS BAND – “Shed Some Funk on You (Disco Version)/Instrumental” (197?) Dome City-10004 super rare original New Orleans Disco 12” in custom cover – VG+/VG++ (cover/record)

This is the first of two monster rare and totally killer disco-funk groovers by an all female group from New Orleans produced by Lloyd L. Harris, Jr. The group is Donna Mitchell, Brenda Andrews, Kathy Thompson, Tina Dupree, Wanda Rylander, Carol Davis, Synn Claire Banks, and Glenda Chambliss.

They play everything from multiple horns to percussion, Fender Rhodes, Mini Moog, ARP, drums, guitar, and bass. Harry Sterling scored this one. The vocal version is on side A, with the flip being an instrumental version.

This is a super rare original pressing. The original custom cover is perfect and still in the original shrink wrap. The vinyl appears unplayed and perfect. I’ve graded this very conservatively M-/M- (cover/record). It could easily be called “Stone Mint!”

I package all LPs securely in record mailers and remove the vinyl from the covers to prevent seam splits during mailing. I do not just stick your record in a priority mailer box from the post office or between two thin pieces of cardboard with no additional packaging materials like so many others!!!
