Description
Mega rare The Beatles "Beatles '65" mono LP issued in December 1964. In original shrinkwrap with breath holes appropriate to the early-60s era. Capitol Records T-2228.
The vinyl is a much coveted Decca records contract pressing. This variant has double diameter rings indicative of a very early Decca press. Confirmed as such via consultation with Perry Cox. Deadwax etchings are as follows: T1-2228-P11 / T2-2228-P11. Labels are east coast style. RIAA #2 printed on the back cover.
Original orange Capitol Record inner sleeve.
Vinyl was cleaned on my VPI machine.
Condition: Cover is VG+. The original shrinkwrap covers 100% of the front and 80% of the rear cover. A few very light age spots beneath the shrink. Some light shelf wear to corners. Minor light creases to upper corners. Small chip to lower edge of front cover. Labels are NM- with no spindle marks! Vinyl is very strong VG to VG+ (I'm being extremely conservative here; most folks would call this VG+) with some light surface marks that cannot be felt and therefore do not affect playback. Inner sleeve is VG+. No seam splits!
