Super-clean vinyl is very close to Near Mint with only faintest small scuff at edge. Labels are immaculate both sides.

Screen-Printed cover is spanking clean and snapping bright with no wear, creases, writing or soil. Faint indent by upper left edge is only thing holding it back from full NM. All edges straight, all corners sharp. Seams and spine 100% intact with no wear or splits.

This LP was the world's 1st actual look and listen to the infamous,enigmatic and storied, unreleased SMiLE album.

Long OUT OF PRINT and very hard to find today in any condition.

It features several different tracks and mixes than can be found on any later releases, official or otherwise.

This copy here is indeed the absolute FIRST PRESS with the initial run SCREEN PRINTED COVER and TAN labels (later press had pink labels).
Included also is the original liner notes insert sheet, dated July 4th, 1983 and purportedly written by scoundrel and former USA Secretary of the Interior, under Ronald Reagan, James Watt
 - or somebody unfortunate enough to share the same name.

included are most of the known tracks at the time from the vaults of what was originally intended for SMiLE, some in demo form (as Brian, in his famous Freak-Out had tossed the most finished tapes into the fire, after years of work, sweat, inspiration and near-terminal trying of the other Beach Boys' patience.) Various pre-Smiley Smile versions of Good Vibrations, Wonderful, Vega-Tables appear, as well as the others that never made it even that far (including an amazing early take of CABBIN-ESSENCE, plus MRS. O'LEARY'S COW, CHILD IS FATHER TO THE MAN, etc.)

Beginning to unfold an utterly vast and deep record collection, ferreting out the duplicates and passing them on.
My life-long best friend, who was a DJ at the Radio Station I co-founded in the 1970's - and who worked for me at my California record store in the '70s and '80s -  has now finally left this mortal coil, bequeathing me his deep Vinyl Mine. Several thousand records (mostly LP's, but also hundreds of 45's), several hundred collectible and Rare, Out of Print CDs and Box Sets, plus posters and other memorabilia - most of which will all become available as I move through the collection.

Always collecting everything he could - with strong tastes in rare Psych, worldwide Prog, Electronic, Space Rock, Classic '60s Rock, innovative Hard Rock, UK Blues Rock, Glam, Odd sounds, all things Tolkien and Disney, Hawaiian Slack Key and more.

after thousands of miles, many days spent gathering it all and several thousand dollars spent flying out to California and trucking it all back to my new home, the tip of the iceberg now emerges
 - a few choice pieces off the top, listed at set price to recoup some expenses now. I'm not yet near ready for the full-scale auctions that are planned to begin soon.
We had very similar tastes - so numerous prime duplicates will be listed. Many PROMOS, IMPORTS and 1st PRESSINGS will be included - indeed some still sealed.

Following soon, I will begin listing the LP's first, mostly at auction, with low opening bids - starting with the Prog, Electronic and Space Rock, then the Psych and on from there. You WON'T want to miss those!! (it may take me several weeks (months?) to list them all... still only part-way through opening all the LP boxes - checking Pressing, Edition and condition (most so far are VG++ to NM). It's all coming soon... .

Following the LP's will be either the CDs or the 45's next - and then ultimately the posters and other paper.
