Description
This is a very rare and original 3 3/4 ips, twin track MONO reel to reel tape from 1969, TA-PMC7088, ABBEY ROAD by The Beatles. It is on the original 4 inch EMITAPE reel , with both centre labels still intact. It is in its original plastic case which is in good condition considering its age, not broken or cracked, but with with scratches and marks from use. It still has its original leader tape, with identity number and title on it, as can be seen in photo. The inner sleeve/cover is totally intact and unmarked, with just two small splits adjacent to the box catch.
I purchased this tape from new, it has been unused and hidden in a box for over 30 years. I have checked it on an old reel to reel player, it still played fine. The Beatles price guide web site indicates how rare it is , by the suggested value, particularly the MONO version, so the start price of this auction is an absolute BARGAIN !!
