PLEASE READ FIRST!

I'm having to make this even clearer as people are still buying records I'm grading low and as a 'collection filler', and then complain about the audio quality when they try to play them. As I do not own a record player I VISUALLY GRADE my records, so I cannotguarantee that discs will be click, skip and noise free (although any marks that may cause such problems will be highlighted in the description).

All photos are of the actual item on sale. I do not use stock or 'borrowed' images.

Mega Rare Original 1963 STEREO Press!

On offer here is an extremely rare, original UK STEREO copy of the Beatles debut LP 'Please Please Me'.

Back in 1963 the stereo format was very much a format for the well off. Stereophonic record players cost a small fortune and stereo records cost a lot more than their mono counterparts. Stereo versions of albums were usually something that had to be ordered in specially and, because of all these factors, pretty much every copy that sold back in the day was in mono.

Today it is extremely hard to find an original 1963 stereo copy of Please Please Me!

The original stereo sleeve is holding up but does have some light damage and wear. The front is clean but does have creasing around the outer edges. The top and bottom seams have small tears, about an inch long, coming in from the mouth edge. The rest of the seam on the top and bottom have a few flakes of wear but are holding with no splits. The spine has a few tiny creases but has no splits and is fully legible. The back is looking decent with a small tape scare on the mouth edge and some light, general discolouration. (VISUALLY GRADED) The disc is in VG+ condition. The disc is looking nice with a decent shine to it. There's some light scuffing along with some slightly heavier looking scuffs and marks, but there's nothing serious or nasty looking. Label Condition The labels are in VG condition. The labels are showing a little wear, but are looking pretty decent overall with no writing or stickers or anything. There's some light spindlewear and a little whitening around the centrehole. All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.

All LPs will be mailed out in a strong, corrugated cardboard LP mailing box with the LP outside the sleeve and extra
sheets of corrugated cardboard will be used where applicable.

My Vinyl Grading:

MINT No true preowned disc can be mint. The highest I will ever grade a disc is NM+/M- if it looks untouched and unplayed, but the MINT description will only be for records I personally know have never been played (i.e. I personally bought from new) or for copies that are still sealed. NEAR MINT (NM) For discs that look near flawless and which may have just the slightest, barely visible little whispy marks here and there. EXCELLENT (EX) For discs that still retain a brilliant, clean shine but does have some light scuffs here and there. VERY GOOD (VG) For discs that still look clean and have a nice shine to them, but do have a fair amount of light scuffmarks and/or some light scratches. GOOD (G) For discs that look like they have been loved and have a fair amount of scuffs and surface scratches. Not in terrible condition, but would look like it would play with a lot of crackle. FAIR (F) For discs that may have some life left in them but are pretty trashed with numerous surface scuffs and heavier scuffs and scratches etc POOR (P) For discs that are unplayable and look completely trashed. Discs like this would only ever be offered if they were insanely rare.
