Al Jolson Previel 78 Record Set Hello everyone. I have up for sale a possible RARE find. This is a 10-Record 78RPM set Titled "Al Jolson Preview 1946". This set was recorded on Audiodisk recording blanks with Klack Recordings Hollywood CA labels over the original labels. The records are in great shape. To be honest with you I am a novice at best when it comes to records. However I have been going to estate sales, garage sale, antique malls and wherever you find cool old stuff and I have never found anything like this. It looks to be a pre-production sampler for a album? I do not know what it is. I know Al Jolson died in 1950 so this would be a later work of his. I do not even own a record player so I can't e ven play it. To be honest with all of you I have picking for a while and when you find something that you have never seen before you buy it. I took a chance on this. Mainly because Al Jolson is very important performer. Probably the most important for his time. And I know there is a strong market for pretty much everything he has done. But this is a shot in the dark for me. I can't find anything on eBay or the web that is compairable. I am hoping someone out there can tell me more about it. I will add to this listing any info I can get. It may very well be a rare piece. I simply do not know. Condition wise the records are in great shape. A couple of the paper labels have come loose but I think all of them are still present although there may be one missing. Please if anyone has any questions or needs more pictures or has any information please let me know. I am always thirsty for knowledge and I do not want to steer anybody in the wrong direction on what this is. I am selling at no reserve so someone will own this piece of history.
