Being released on the 8th of November 1971, this magical album went straight into the number one slot in the UK charts, where it stayed for an amazing 62 weeks!!
It was received very well by both the critics and fans alike, on both sides of the Atlantic and in my opinion still stands the test of time to this day.

The Vinyl:

Flat as the day she was born. She carries quite a few light marks to her-nothing to make her jump or skip....I have just played her all the way through-up loud and I wasn't dissapointed :)..Wonderful clean and clear breaks with clear highs and deep lows. I noticed some light background noise in the quieter sections-with a little light warming crackle in the background of Going to California (but not offensive at all)... it just remined me I am listening to a classic vinyl record and not an MP3!
BANGIN' DEEP DRUMS AND BASS!!
Great solid sound reproduction!
NO SKIPS, STICKS or JUMPS.

The Labels:
VG+.
RARE MIS-PRINTED LABELS....Instead of carrying Misty Mountain Hop, there is a typo with Misty Mountain TOP...Not many of these come up for sale-I have only seen a handful of these as they were noticed and quickly removed and rectified...Strangley this was later corrected on the Red/Plum labels, but the re-pressing green labels carried the same error again, just for a short period too.
The labels are in clean condition and are worthy of framing-after playing all the way though at full blast, of course!


The Sleeve:

 This is a good cover for this album...When you open the cover, to view the inner gatefold, the black is still black and the white-still white!
The corners  show some rubbing as well as a the spine, which also carries some rubbing to it. The bottom seam of the right gatefold has a split to the middle and another which extends from the opening on the same seam.

The Inner:
G+.
 It is the ORIGINAL 'Symbol' paper inner, with the lyrics to Stairway To Heaven on the back and the track listing of the album to the front.
WITHOUT any catalogue number, which was later introduced for the re-pressings.
There are splits to each of the seams but she remains strong elswhere- which is why I have given her a G+ grading.
 Again...100% ORIGINAL.
Certainly done her job in keeping the record in "TOP" condition!

ALL IN ALL THIS IS A CLASSIC ALBUM WITH GREAT AUDIO REPRODUCTION.
SHE HAS BEEN PLAYED AND TAKEN TO PARTIES-BUT NOTHING TO MAKE HER JUMP OR SKIP.
