Happy Birthday is a collaboration album by Pete Townshend, The Guitarist for The Who and friends including Ronnie Lane, pressed and released in 1970 by Universal Spiritual League.
The album was originally released in February 1970 (in commemoration of Meher Baba's birthday on 25 February) as the first in a series of tribute albums dedicated to Pete Townshend's spiritual mentor Meher Baba.
Only about 2,500 copies were pressed in the original 1970 issue.
THIS IS THE ORIGINAL PRESSING ! 1970 !
record is VG to VG++ ( very nice overall with some light lines/marks , however a very , very few are just slightly feelable with the edge of a fingernail mainly on begining of side 1 . again , VERY NICE OVERALL ! i played it through these slightly feelables and it played very well with just minor surface noise and some light ticks , some constant minor ticking throughout one part where a guy is talking for about two minutes , but not much at all after that )
cover with attached BOOK is VG ( moderate wear and staining ( stains on about the first 6 pages too ) , paper loss visible on front cover ( see pic ) . about a two inch tear on the back . )
